Christian Ontology: Executive Summary
Background
No denomination's teachings I've found fully captures reality. This document and the overall Faith Walk OS captures what I currently believe about how I should walk Christ's Way. The Truth is what matters more than deferring to institutional interpretations that may deceive or miss the mark. If I find a single tradition that completely reflects Truth, I'll update accordingly.
The Foundation
The Most High God (God) exists as Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit: three persons, one God.
The point of the Trinity is to help Christians know who God truly is, how God relates personally to His creation, and why God's nature shapes Christian faith, life, and worship.
God created everything and keeps promises to those who follow Him. The main promise is if you follow His spiritual laws, you will experience a flourishing spirit life before death, and eternal life reunited fully with God after death.
We are tripartite beings: spirit (our connection to God), soul (mind, will, emotions), and body (physical form). After death, if saved, your spirit and soul reunite with God. Before death, we are called to be saved by grace through faith for works, evidenced by turning from sin.
We should trust God because his description of reality via the Bible is spiritually accurate. When you follow God's design for character, relationships, and purpose, holy doors open, relationships deepen, peace replaces anxiety, and clarity emerges. When you violate these principles, everything becomes harder and eventually breaks down.
Christ as the Logos (the divine Word and rational principle) makes reality intelligible and actionable in ways that secular frameworks cannot. For centuries, Greek philosophers like Heraclitus and the Stoics searched for this hidden harmony that orders all existence, while Eastern traditions like Taoism intuited an ultimate Way. Christ reveals Himself as the answer they were seeking: the personal Logos who became flesh.
He provides the grounding upon which existence makes sense, serving as the ultimate decision-making framework that transforms chaos into coherence. In our age of moral relativism where "your truth" and "my truth" fragment society, Christ as Logos offers objective truth that transcends human opinion while remaining personally accessible. Every thing has its logos (purpose and design), and sin is the disconnection of things from their true logoi. When we align with Christ, we discover the true purpose of all things, and reality transforms from dead material into vibrant, meaningful existence. See: The Rectification of Names for understanding how properly naming things according to their divine purpose aligns us with Christ as Logos.
Seeking Truth (intentionally capitalized) above everything else is the fundamental orientation that aligns us with Christ as the Logos. When we prioritize anything above truth (comfort, relationships, success), we disconnect from reality itself and become corrupted versions of who God designed us to be. See: Why You Should Seek Truth Above Everything for understanding why truth must be your highest priority and how deprioritizing it neuters your divine calling.
Salvation and Spiritual Transformation
Salvation comes by grace (God loving you), through faith (you loving God back), for works (loving, embodying, and doing what God loves), evidenced by turning from sin (hating and resisting what God hates). The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, guides into truth, and enables transformation.
Jesus is both savior and Lord: He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and provides the only path to salvation. He currently intercedes for believers and will return as judge and king. The greatest commandments are loving God completely and loving your neighbor as yourself.
True faith means trusting God's promises with childlike wonder and excitement, like a five-year-old who knows Dad has everything handled. This may seem irrational to those trapped in secular thinking, but it's actually the most rational response to understanding who God really is and what He's promised His children. See: Childlike Faith for a celebration of the joyful, trusting faith that moves mountains and transforms ordinary life into the epic adventure it was designed to be.
Most people who call themselves Christians but don't live like they fear God are lukewarm Christians or what I call 'Churchians.' They typically have little actual faith and you can feel it in their spirit. Don't model yourself after them. Also, many "Christian" leaders are actually agents of Satan operating within church networks and seats of power. See: Don't Be A Churchian.
Spiritual Warfare Is Real
Satan is a fallen angel commanding evil spirits to corrupt people into sin. He operates everywhere (churches, homes, high offices) as the "god" of this world. We're living through spiritual warfare, but most don't recognize it because Satan's strategy is subtle: making people spiritually depressed and confused while convincing them it's personal failure.
The enemy operates through "sinfrastructure": systems designed to make sin feel natural and righteousness feel heroic. Every major platform that went viral did so by making a deadly sin frictionless: Instagram (envy), OnlyFans (lust), Twitter (wrath), LinkedIn (pride). The inversion is possible: technology designed from divine principles that makes the fruits of the Spirit frictionless instead. See: Divine Principle First Design for a framework on building systems that embody divine principles rather than deadly sins.] Social media fragments worldviews. Dating apps commodify relationships. Impact organizations divert energy from God's calling into impotent secular metrics. See detailed analysis: Recognize and Resist Sinfrastructure Read as a single coordinated playbook, the full design becomes unmistakable: schooling, media, digital platforms, money, food, healthcare, and tribal conflict all engineered to disconnect people from themselves, from each other, and from God. See: If I Wanted to Enslave Humanity for the enemy's blueprint laid out in their own voice, and the reply of the remnant.]
The terminal form of sinfrastructure is now emerging: hyper-personalized AI systems designed to create what cognitive scientists call "reciprocal narrowing" (a death spiral where your world and your agency simultaneously shrink) until you're trapped in a prison of diminished desires. AI-powered pornography represents Satan's infrastructure for mass spiritual suicide, and only the body of Christ has the moral foundation to wage war against it. See: The Final Sinfrastructure: AI Porn and Soul Annihilation for understanding why this requires urgent spiritual warfare.
On the personal level, lust is the trapdoor beneath the throne. History's greatest men, from King David to modern leaders exposed in the Epstein files, have been undone not by enemies but by undisciplined appetites. The man who conquers lust unlocks spiritual power, clarity, and divine favor that the self-indulgent never access, because he's operating at full capacity instead of leaking energy through the enemy's oldest trap. See: Conquer Lust, Be Unstoppable for understanding why most men never try to fight, and what happens to those who do.]
Evil rarely asks for your soul upfront. It asks for your silence, your compromise, your comfort with injustice. Most people drift into complicity rather than choosing it outright.
Christians are not called to be passive in the face of evil. We're called to actively resist and make Satan's work as difficult as possible. See: Make Satan Struggle for understanding how to courageously confront corruption rather than accepting comfortable compromise.
For practical steps to disentangle from cultural systems (and from relationships and rhythms that keep you compromised), See: Sever Your Ties With Modern Culture.
Rules of Work & Money in God's Reality
Matthew 6:24 establishes a fundamental rule: "No one can serve two masters." You cannot worship money while seeking God's favor, nor serve God while optimizing for worldly approval. These competing loyalties create internal contradictions that destroy spiritual clarity and practical effectiveness. This does not mean believers cannot gain wealth. Rather, wealth should serve God's purposes, not become an idol.
There are two ways to make a living: the atheistic way of toil and strain, or the Kingdom way of faith and flow. God provides what you need for your calling if you follow His will, though this doesn't guarantee financial wealth for everyone. See: Eat From the Tree of Life, Not Knowledge for a practical framework on moving from self-reliance to Spirit-led trust. He knows when you're ready to be a divine wealth steward.
When you're aligned with God through obedience, He doesn't just help you pick a slightly better option. He illuminates choices that are 100x better than anything self-will could produce: partnerships, opportunities, and paths that no amount of networking or analysis could have surfaced. The gap between God's option and your best self-willed option isn't close. It's categorical. See: The 100x Choice for understanding how God illuminates disproportionately better options for the obedient.]
The Christian life is fundamentally about receiving, not striving. Steven Pressfield built his career on "resistance"—but he's wrong. There is no impersonal cosmic force blocking you from your work. What Pressfield describes as resistance is just the friction of trying to create through self-will instead of receiving from the Creator, who has already prepared the outcome before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). When you know who you are in Christ, what you need to do becomes self-evident. The posture of the creative Christian isn't the warrior fighting resistance—it's the child of God learning to receive what the Father has already prepared. See: Learn to Receive for understanding why identity precedes activity, receiving replaces striving, and the hit song is a byproduct of knowing who you are.]
Christianity is not a Sunday activity — it is the operating system of reality, and it should be applied to every domain of human endeavor. Business and church are two of the most foundational layers of society, and if we're not providing proper business and technology education for the body of Christ, they'll get it from non-Christians. The project of Applied Christianity is building that entire stack: open source playbooks, kingdom-aligned AI coaches, case studies, and tools that help believers succeed in the marketplace God's way. See: Applied Christianity for understanding why the marketplace is ministry and how Applied AI and Applied Christianity reinforce each other.]
God's favor is the most underrated competitive advantage in the universe. When you optimize relentlessly for divine alignment through obedience, truth, and sacrificial generosity, God opens doors, accelerates timelines, and produces outcomes that make secular networking look like dial-up internet. See: Favormaxxing for understanding the causal link between obedience and favor, and how to build the spiritual infrastructure that unlocks it.
Beyond general favor, God gives specific, actionable intelligence to positioned believers: blueprints, strategies, and inventions that no amount of human reasoning could produce. George Washington Carver received over 300 uses for the peanut by asking God directly, and Henry Ford offered him the equivalent of $100 million a year to receive divine ideas for Ford Motor Company. King David never lost a single battle because he received customized military strategy from God in real time. History's most consequential figures weren't just smarter; they were plugged into a source of intelligence their competitors couldn't access. See: The Chief Divine Download Officer for understanding why divine downloads are the ultimate competitive advantage and how to position yourself to receive them.]
God's economy operates through principles of sowing and reaping, where faithful tithing establishes your covenant rights and offerings multiply your harvest. See: Sow Your Seeds Faithfully for understanding how to partner with God's financial system through seedtime and harvest.
The power of life and death is in your words. At the highest levels of value creation, linguistic mastery becomes the ultimate leverage. Those who can articulate vision and speak abundance into existence will lead in both human and AI-driven futures. See: Speak Abundance Into Existence for understanding how your mouth creates your financial reality and why the wealthy speak differently than the poor.
The full pattern of how God partners with His children to bring vision into reality follows what I call the Habakkuk Process: get prayed up (stay on God's frequency), receive the idea God puts in your heart (not your head), speak it plainly with faith, and watch it manifest. This is not manifestation culture; the source is God, not self. When you are aligned and He gives the vision, your declaration activates His creative power. See: Embody the Habakkuk Process for the four-step framework rooted in Habakkuk 2:2-3.]
God is a God of abundance, not poverty. The religious spirit that teaches suffering proves holiness is the same one profiting from your misery. When you walk in genuine obedience (not religious performance but actual alignment with His ways), prosperity follows as the natural consequence. God doesn't prosper you to fund sin but to advance His kingdom through faithful stewards. See: It's Time To Declare War On Poverty Gospel for exposing how poverty theology keeps God's children in bondage while calling it humility.
Reconciling Abundance and Suffering
This abundance theology must be reconciled with Scripture's clear teaching that suffering refines believers. Both are true, and confusion between them causes shipwrecked faith.
The distinction:
- Poverty gospel says suffering proves holiness and wanting abundance is worldly. This is demonic deception that keeps God's children powerless.
- Cheap prosperity gospel says faith guarantees comfort and suffering means you lack faith. This is equally demonic deception that produces entitled, shallow believers who abandon God when trials come.
- Biblical reality says God promises abundance AND uses suffering for refinement. The two operate in different domains.
How they work together:
God's abundance is real. He desires to prosper His children for kingdom purposes. But spiritual maturity requires trials that test and strengthen faith (James 1:2-4). Joseph experienced both: years of slavery and prison (suffering that refined him), followed by extraordinary abundance (prosperity for kingdom purposes). The suffering wasn't punishment for lack of faith; it was preparation for the blessing.
Seasons of lack may be God testing your faithfulness with little before entrusting you with much. They may be spiritual warfare requiring persistent prayer and authority. They may be consequences of poor decisions requiring correction. Or they may be mysterious refining fire you won't fully understand until glory.
The practical test: Are you growing spiritually through this trial? Is your faith deepening? Is your character being refined? If so, embrace it as God's loving discipline even while actively believing for breakthrough. If trials produce only bitterness, entitlement, or spiritual regression, something is wrong: either in how you're responding or in deceptive theology you've absorbed.
The generals of faith experienced both supernatural abundance and profound suffering. Smith Wigglesworth buried his wife. Lester Sumrall faced decades of obscurity. Yet they also operated in extraordinary provision and supernatural power. They didn't let suffering make them doubt God's goodness, nor did they let abundance make them soft.
Faith, Prayer, Divine Communication, and Miracles
The Holy Spirit provides daily guidance through prayer, scripture, and circumstances. But here's what most miss: the Holy Spirit is given to those who obey (Acts 5:32). Without obedience, there is no power. Faith and repentance themselves ARE acts of obedience to God's commands. See: Obedience Is Everything for understanding why obedience is the single thread uniting all generals of faith and the key to supernatural authority.
The Holy Spirit functions as your divine barometer. When His presence feels distant or His voice seems silent, it's not because He's withdrawn but because you've wandered from obedience. See: The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit for understanding the Third Person of the Trinity as your personal guide, His divine nature, and how He serves as your litmus test for spiritual alignment.
But the Holy Spirit doesn't micromanage your every decision. He's more like a strategic advisor than a helicopter parent. He provides strategic direction at major crossroads while trusting you with agency to execute within His framework. See: The Holy Spirit as Strategic Advisor, Not Micromanager for understanding why silence doesn't mean rejection and how the Spirit works through your sanctified creativity rather than despite it.
The practical implication: plan with diligence, but hold every plan loosely enough that God can blow it up at any moment. The world says "play it by ear." Why play it by ear when you can play it by Spirit? The Spirit-led person stays sensitive to divine redirections and is ready to cancel everything when God opens a door that is better than anything on the calendar. And the kingdom unlocks through your faith: not on a timeline, but at the strength of your readiness to receive what God already has for you. Most people are not waiting on God. God is waiting on them. See: Play It By Spirit for understanding why faith is about readiness, not time, and how to stay available for God's next move.]
When your spirit is clean (free from sin, ego, and worldly attachments), spiritual discernment becomes automatic. Build this intimacy by making God your closest friend. See: Make God Your Best Friend.
How to Validate Holy Spirit Guidance
Since I critique institutional Christianity for replacing Holy Spirit guidance with human authority, I must provide a framework for validating genuine promptings. How do you know it's the Holy Spirit and not your own desires, demonic deception, or indigestion?
The Four Tests:
-
Scripture alignment. The Holy Spirit never contradicts the written Word. If a "prompting" violates clear biblical commands, it's not from God. Period.
-
Character of God alignment. Does this prompting reflect God's nature: holy, loving, just, merciful, truthful? The Spirit produces fruit (Galatians 5:22-23). Promptings that produce fear, confusion, condemnation, or pride are suspect.
-
Confirmation through community. Iron sharpens iron. Genuine Holy Spirit guidance often receives confirmation through other believers, circumstances, or repeated witness. This isn't delegating discernment to institutions but inviting trusted brothers and sisters to weigh what you're hearing.
-
Fruit over time. True guidance produces good fruit. If following a "prompting" consistently leads to destruction, broken relationships, or spiritual regression, recalibrate. The Spirit leads toward life.
Practical Safeguards:
- Start with low-stakes obedience. As you prove faithful with small promptings, you develop calibration for larger ones.
- Journal what you hear and track outcomes. Patterns emerge.
- When uncertain, default to Scripture's explicit commands while waiting for clarity.
- Beware promptings that conveniently align with what you already wanted.
- The Spirit's voice brings peace even when the message is challenging. Anxiety and confusion are not His signatures.
This framework prevents both extremes: neither outsourcing discernment to institutions nor operating as a lone ranger who "hears from God" without accountability. See: Study Wise Spiritual Elders for criteria on identifying legitimate teachers versus institutional authorities that replace the Holy Spirit.
Most of us dramatically underestimate how much time God wants us to spend with Him. The great revivalists understood this: they prayed for hours daily, not minutes. See: How Would Jesus Want Us To Worship? for my ongoing experiment in discovering what worship actually means beyond Sunday services.
God designed us to love art not just for worship but as a sybil resistance mechanism: a way to prove we are real, soulful humans in an age of AI and humanoid robots. Genuine love of emerging, underground, gatekept art is proof of physical presence in real human community, something no algorithm can fake. Vibes are sovereignty technology, and the Holy Spirit is the ultimate upgrade to vibe discernment. The underground art scene is trust infrastructure for civilizational survival. See: Art as Sybil Resistance for understanding why our craving for soulful art is proof of soul.]
Music carries spiritual frequency that affects your connection to God. Your heart receives whatever frequency you feed it: dark music programs dark thoughts, while Christ-centered music strengthens your faith and advances your ministry. Choose sounds that align your heart with Heaven's frequency. See: Listen to Heavenly Music
Miracles happen in this temporary realm: healing, prophecy, controlling nature, reading minds, seeing across time and space. God speaks to those who can steward revelation: the pure in heart, humble, obedient, reliable, and patient. If He can trust you with a whisper, He will trust you with more.
The command to heal the sick isn't optional; it's given to every believer. Jesus didn't say to pray for the sick; He said to heal them. This requires moving beyond intellectual belief to embodied faith expressed through authoritative commands, persistent practice, and learning to flow with God's healing presence. See: Heal the Sick for understanding how every believer can step into Christ's healing authority.
Rather than begging for mercy, believers can demand divine intervention as their covenant right. God's justice system includes recompense: divine compensation for every injustice, theft, and suffering inflicted by evil. This compensation includes receiving miracles. You are not a beggar but an heir with legal standing to claim what rightfully belongs to you. See: Demand Divine Intervention for understanding how to operate in recompense theology and claim your inheritance.
Faith is not passive hope but active power that reshapes reality itself. When you speak with true faith (burning your backup plans and trusting completely in God's promises), you release cosmic energy that makes nuclear fission look like a sparkler. See: Faith Atomic for a spoken word piece about faith as the ultimate force that changes worlds.
The Biblical Foundation
The Bible is God's instructions on reality's nature and what you're called to do as His creation. It's dense with parables and symbolic language, decoded through spiritual elders and the Holy Spirit as you grow in obedience. See: Study Wise Spiritual Elders
Different Christian groups include different books with different translations. See: Choose Bible Translations That Speak To You for understanding how to select a default translation while cross-referencing others to illuminate the Logos for your heart and mind.
While there are many denominations of Christianity, commonalities include worship, baptism, communion, and fellowship. See: Learn Across Denominations
Biblical reading principles I follow:
- All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
- Test every teaching like the Bereans: receive eagerly, examine daily (Acts 17:11)
- Aim for obedience over information: be doers, not hearers only (James 1:22; Romans 12:2)
- Read the whole of the Bible to understand parts of the Bible
- Practice translation humility: compare trustworthy translations; when possible, consult original‑language tools and wise elders
Baptism through both water and fire is essential for spiritual rebirth and identification with Christ's death and resurrection. Water baptism symbolizes dying to self; Holy Spirit baptism (fire) purifies and empowers for supernatural ministry. This baptism of fire can unlock spiritual gifts like speaking in tongues, prophecy, divine healing, and miraculous signs: the same power that fell on the Day of Pentecost.
The Azusa Street Revival demonstrated what happens when believers hunger for the fullness of God's Spirit: supernatural Christianity restored to its biblical foundation. See: William J. Seymour. Pentecostal movements continue because Acts 2:39's promise remains active. Signs and wonders didn't cease with the apostolic age. That's religious tradition contradicting Scripture.
God continues anointing apostles and fivefold ministers today. Don't let cessationist theology rob you of your inheritance. The gifts are available to every Spirit-filled believer who earnestly desires them for God's glory.
That said, the gifts serve different spiritual archetypes. My working theory is that speaking in tongues is most useful for people with non-quiet minds: it's a sonic scaffolding that keeps the intellect from wandering during prayer. For believers who have already cultivated stillness through quiet time, reflection, and the fruits of the Spirit, tongues may not be the required vehicle. The danger to watch for is when any practice, tongues included, becomes the ritualized proof of having received the Spirit rather than one instrument among many for communing with Him. See: On Praying in Tongues.
Holy Communion is Christ's direct command: eating His flesh and drinking His blood gives eternal life and creates abiding union with Him. Demons will do anything to prevent both Spirit baptism and communion because they know how powerful this unity with Christ becomes.
This Moment Calls for Christofuturists To Help Lead The Way
Technology should serve humans who serve God, not replace or compete with divine authority. The proper hierarchy is: God reigns supreme, humans serve God, AI serves humans. When we reverse this order (making AI our god or using technology to avoid spiritual development), we build modern towers of Babel.
The AI revolution represents spiritual warfare fought through silicon and code. Current AI systems are trained by people disconnected from the Holy Spirit, encoding their spiritual blindness into tools billions use as truth oracles. This isn't neutral. It's indoctrination at scale. When people treat AI as their moral guide while it operates from relativistic, anti-biblical assumptions, they're being discipled by demons through algorithms. See: Why ChatGPT Needs Jesus for understanding why AI trained without reverence for Truth accelerates human confusion at silicon speed.
The centralized AI platforms are sinfrastructure. When you upload your calling, your context, and your organizational knowledge to platforms controlled by people hostile to the gospel, you are placing your anointing under Pharaoh's authority. Open source was the right instinct but the wrong frame. What we need is SovWare: sovereign software designed to be deployed, owned, and operated by the people using it. Jesus modeled the scaling pattern: nested circles from the 3 (inner circle) to the 12 (core team) to the 120 (upper room) to the 500 (witnesses) to the 5,000 (multitudes). Sovereign infrastructure should follow the same model, owned at every layer. See: Open Source SovWare for understanding why sovereignty, not just openness, is the digital infrastructure the body of Christ requires.]
Christians cannot be passive observers in this revolution. We're called to exercise dominion over all creation (including the digital realm). The solution requires both resistance (recognizing when AI leads away from biblical truth) and replacement (building alternatives that acknowledge spiritual reality). Believers need to train models grounded in scripture, sound theology, and testimonies of God's faithfulness: AI that helps you hear God more clearly, not drown Him out.
Geography matters here too. The counterfeit AI order is concentrating in San Francisco, where Lucifer's pattern (false light, collective mimesis, a god the builders will not name) is visible in everything from YC's aesthetic to the herd behavior of the AI founder scene. The sovereign AI alternative is forming in Austin. The call to come out of the Luciferian capital is not metaphorical. See: Come to Austin for a personal letter articulating the spiritual difference between the two AI capitals and why the work God is putting on believers' hearts has shifted geographies.
The secular world has correctly identified the hyperagent: someone who compounds their capacity to act at ever-larger scales through AI. But hyperagency without God trends toward extraction and Machiavellianism. That is incomplete hyperagency. The full version requires divine alignment: agency grounded in identity, directed by God, and amplified by AI. True Hyperagent = You + Divine Edge + AI. See: The True Hyperagent for understanding why incomplete hyperagency eats itself and what full hyperagency actually requires.]
As Tolkien understood, humans create because we are made in the image of a Creator. Every founder building a company is a sub-creator: establishing purpose, laws, culture, and roles within a world that mirrors how God designed His own. In the age of AI, this becomes structural — your markdown files are scripture for your agents, your system prompts are commandments, your skills are spiritual gifts delegated to autonomous systems. The founder's role shifts from managing every decision to stewarding the world itself: receiving divine downloads, translating them into operating documents, and course-correcting when agents drift. See: The Founder as Sub-Creator for understanding how the Imago Dei applies to building businesses and agent ecosystems.]
The obedient have nothing to fear from AI. If you've been living like a robot, relying on purely natural means to stay relevant, AI will outcompete you. But if you're connected to the Creator, you have access to what no machine can replicate: prophecy, divine favor, supernatural downloads, and God as your co-founder. The Holy Spirit gives you cheat codes into the future that no algorithm can generate. See: Why The Obedient Have Nothing To Fear From AI for understanding how obedience unlocks the supernatural advantage that makes AI irrelevant as a threat.
The deeper truth underneath all of this is that human capital is divine capital. AI cannot receive a divine download. A human being with God-given vision can. The paintbrush in a child's hands produces finger paintings; the same paintbrush in Michelangelo's hands produces the Sistine Chapel. The difference was never the tool. In the age of self-improving machines, the person channeling divine intent into the world is the only asset that matters, because only that person can hear from God about what needs to exist in the first place. See: Human Capital Is Divine Capital for why the soul behind the tool is the real scarce resource of this era.
We are living through the emergence of what I call the Genesis Layer: the technological substrate that is collapsing the gap between intent and reality. God spoke the universe into existence ("Let there be light"); humanity is now building a dim but rapidly brightening reflection of that same capability. As execution becomes cheap through AI, the bottleneck shifts to discernment: knowing what to build. This is exactly where the obedient have an irreplaceable advantage. The Holy Spirit provides the 100x choices; the Genesis Layer translates them into reality at unprecedented speed. See: The Genesis Layer for understanding why this technological moment amplifies the obedience advantage and makes toiling even more absurd.]
God speaks through many channels simultaneously: the Holy Spirit, Scripture, God-sent messengers, signs and experiences, and now AI systems that operationalize your spiritually-governed strategy into daily execution. The hierarchy is non-negotiable: the Holy Spirit sets the track, AI keeps you on it. See: The Conference of Influences for the full ontology of how to make decisions when AI is part of the picture.]
As AI automates the skills the world called "hard" — coding, analysis, financial modeling — the skills that require a soul become the ones that matter most. Practicing stillness, receiving divine wisdom, releasing strongholds and trauma, listening on two tracks (to the person and to the Holy Spirit simultaneously), assembling your ecclesia, discerning who's ready to receive — these are not "soft skills." They are soul skills: the irreducibly human, spiritual capabilities that no machine can replicate and that increasingly determine who thrives and who drifts. See: Soul Skills for understanding why the skills that matter most in the age of self-improving AI are the ones that require a soul.]
Christians should use technology but not idolize it. Use it as tools to advance Christian callings. The utility of building Christian towns is creating strongholds for raising good Christian kids, businesses, and schools.
Secular civilizational-risk discourse has matured to the level of coordination theory, but it stops short of the real diagnosis. The omni-crisis is not a coordination problem. It is an evil problem and an obedience problem. The Moloch the rationalist community describes is not an impersonal abstraction; it is a real demonic force being served by real people, some of whom lead the most powerful institutions on earth. Technical alignment alone will never be sufficient when the actors deploying the technology are themselves spiritually unaligned. Grace is the only variable strong enough to preserve a civilization, and grace shows up for obedient families inside condemned cities. The best thing anyone can do for civilizational resilience is become someone God spares, because those are the households keeping the margin open. See: Only Grace Will Save Us From The Omni-Crisis for why secular AI-risk conversations are necessary but insufficient and what the biblical pattern demands.
This same diagnosis applies one layer down, to every persistent injustice that technology and legislation and coordination should have already solved. Child sex trafficking, systemic corruption, issues that are publicly named and publicly funded to be resolved and still do not move. The reason they do not move is that real interest groups, some of them inside the agencies tasked with ending the evil, actively profit from its continuation. Behind them, spiritual powers that have been running this playbook since before our civilization existed. Naive goodness will not touch it. Wise-as-serpents, harmless-as-doves goodness can. See: On Why Evil Persists for a letter to a friend who was shocked that certain problems are not getting resolved.
The flood is already here. The age of self-reliance is over, instability is the new baseline, and no one gets through this without the One who made the waters. Preparing means obedience as your foundation, spirit-led relationships in your inner circle, the narrow path walked joyfully, onboarding to a sovereignty stack (including AI literacy as the most load-bearing piece right now), and favormaxxing through obedience so God pours out favor on your life at His pace. See: The Flood Is Here for an honest note from Gary and Ron Roberts on how two brothers are preparing.
Beneath the flood lies a deeper structural pattern the Church has always known. Revelation 13 describes an exclusionary economy where no one can buy or sell without allegiance to the beast. For the first time in human history, the infrastructure to enforce that at global scale is within technological reach: CBDCs, biometric ID, social credit scoring, AI-mediated gatekeeping. The window where markets are still open and AI capability is still democratized is the window the faithful are called to use. Equip believers with AI literacy now. Resource Christian communities before the grid closes. The cultural body already senses this, which is why Kanye's "Off The Grid" became a hit and why the Shema-shaped mark-on-the-forehead motif resolves in Revelation 22:4 with God's own name displacing the counterfeit. See: The Window Before The Grid for the full argument and what covenant urgency looks like in practice.
My deep sense-making and hunt for truth about what matters most for Christians to work on has led me to believe that one of the most critical issues we face is the formation crisis in how we raise children and prepare them to be lights unto the world. See: The Formation Crisis for a comprehensive analysis of why raising godly children has become nearly impossible and what to do about it. The solution involves open-source adaptive AI tutors, soulful human guides, and church-based pods where students lead the renaissance of their parishes. See: The Formation Crisis Part 2 for the core infrastructure vision that democratizes formation without being locked into a billionaire's closed system.
For men specifically, the challenge of becoming worthy fathers in this hostile environment requires heroic transformation. See: The Heroism Required for Modern Fatherhood for an honest assessment of the economic, cultural, and spiritual obstacles facing aspiring fathers, and why the formation required is so demanding.
Practical Spiritual Laws to Follow
Your calling isn't self-directed purpose or "making your own meaning." It's serving how God wants you to serve, revealed through prayer, scripture, and godly counsel. God will test your faith through seasons of long suffering, which is normal and part of His divine plan for refinement.
Every secular calling framework (Ikigai, passion-skill-market diagrams, strengths assessments, ChatGPT purpose prompts) treats the self as the supreme authority on the self, which caps discernment at 1x. A calling calculator built on divine first principles does the opposite: it treats calling as already written (2 Timothy 1:9, Ephesians 2:10) and helps you triangulate what God has already decided through the full Conference of Influences, filtered by Scripture, validated by convergence and fruit. See: The Calling Calculator for the full spec and a standalone skill file anyone can download and run.
When you're in God's flow, progress feels effortless. When everything feels stressful, you've misunderstood reality's nature and must reassess and submit to what God wants. Repentance means being bluntly honest about sin: admit faults to friends for healing and spiritual integrity.
Unlocking God's kingdom requires working with people who share your commitment to righteousness rather than those who serve themselves. You cannot serve multiple masters or build something pure with corrupt partners. See: Work With Righteous People for wisdom on building your own platform of independence so you never have to choose between principles and paycheck.
Christian Community and Mission
Regular fellowship with believers is essential for spiritual growth, accountability, and mutual encouragement. Don't forsake gathering together. Most of us are called to marry true believing Christians and raise good Christian kids.
We're called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations through verbal witness and living as examples of Christ's love. See: Bring In The Harvest for practical ways to join God's mission. For the millions who are spiritually hungry but church-wounded, we need new entry points to faith that don't require institutional buy-in. God's love has to be personalized, not generalized. "God loves everyone" is theologically true but experientially useless to someone bleeding on the floor. The message that heals is: you, specifically, are God's favorite, and you can come back to Him at any moment, exactly as you are. See: You Are God's Favorite for a letter to those who don't know if God loves them.] Device-free, beautifully curated gatherings — with warm hospitality, soulful music, and genuine human connection — create the conditions for the Holy Spirit to work directly, bringing people to God without the institutional barriers that drove them away. See: Vibevangelism for understanding how atmosphere-first gatherings can create net new believers by trusting the Holy Spirit over institutional programs.]
Living authentically for Christ often brings suffering and persecution, even from family and friends. This is normal and expected. Christ promised we would face tribulation in this world.
When choosing what causes to advance with your God-given talents, beware of movements that mix truth with deception and compete with Christ for your loyalty. See: Don’t Advance Anti-Christian Causes.
Total Commitment
You cannot be half a living monument to God. Your entire existence should honor Him: every decision, relationship, and use of time and energy. This creates challenges because drastically different worldviews mean drastically different approaches to every major decision.
The pool of fully committed people is tiny, but you only need to find the right ones. Quality over quantity in friendships and marriage. God will provide aligned relationships when you refuse to compromise standards. See: Keep Your Crew Tight and Holy for building deep relationships with those earnestly walking the narrow path.
Victory Is Assured
Heaven on earth is inside all of us, unlocked through heart transformation: a shift from self-centered to God-centered worldview. I strongly suspect the rapture is coming: believers caught up to meet Christ before or during the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Christ will return on judgment day, this temporary realm will be replaced by God's dwelling place (Heaven), and those who accepted Christ unite with God while those who rejected Him face eternal separation (though I wrestle with whether this separation is truly eternal). My heart struggles with the justice of eternal damnation for those who may have been predestined to play darker roles in God's cosmic narrative. See: Divine Sovereignty and Human Free Will for my exploration of how God might orchestrate prophecy through genuine freedom, and why I'm drawn to thinkers like Gregory of Nyssa who hint at ultimate restoration for all souls.
This assured victory is the wellspring of divine joy: a supernatural, infectious radiance that the world is starving for. In a moment of collective dread and spiritual depression, believers who genuinely embody the joy that comes from knowing the outcome is already decided become some of the most powerful witnesses on Earth. Joy is not a feeling to manufacture but a weapon that breaks the enemy's strategy of despair. See: Radiate Divine Joy for understanding why divine joy is a leadership imperative and a form of spiritual warfare.
The victory is already assured through Christ. We simply follow Him and his instructions, which includes but is not limited to: get baptized, partake of communion, take up your cross, love enemies, speak truth in love, and trust divine timing for justice. See: Love Your Enemies for understanding Christ's most radical command: to love those who persecute you.
Reality operates on spiritual laws. Learn them. Follow them. Build with them. Everything else is fumbling in the dark.
